and Conditions
The following terms and conditions apply to your access
and use of this website and the services provided herein
by Malayan Banking Berhad. By using the services, you
agree to be bound by these terms and conditions without
limitation or qualification.
Definitions
- eLDS means the website developed and operated by Maybank
that link lawyers to Maybank for documentation processing
and follow-up on the documentation process.
- Lawyer means both panel or non-panel solicitors appointed by
Maybank to proceed with legal documentation for its
customers.
Use of the Website
The website shall not be used in any other manner except
as authorised by Maybank and own use. Any other use requires
the prior written permission of Maybank. The lawyer herein
hereby agrees to use the website only for lawful purposes
and in manner which does not infringe the rights of, or
restrict or inhibit the use and enjoyment of the website
by any other third party or Maybank.
Lawyer's Obligations and Restrictions
You shall be solely responsible for :-
- The installation, setting-up, suitability and configuration
of equipment (including hardware and software) for access
to the website.
- Obtaining, at your own cost, all licenses, permits,
consents, approvals and rights (including without limitation
intellectual property rights) as may be required to
use the website.
- Protecting the secrecy of all information related
to the use of the website and shall not reveal the same
to any other person.
- Payment of any fee prescribed by Maybank from time
to time for use of the eLDS service. All payments to
Maybank must be made within the stipulated time given.
Indemnity
You hereby irrevocably agree to indemnifying and keep
indemnified Maybank from all liabilities, claims, losses
and expenses, including any legal fees that may be incurred
by Maybank in connections with or arising from :
- Your use or misuse of this website and the services
provided herein, or
- Your breach of these terms and conditions howsoever
occasioned, or
- Any intellectual property right or proprietary right
infringement claim made by third party against Maybank
in connection with your use of this website.
Termination
Maybank reserves the right to terminate and/or restrict
your access to this website and/or your use at this website
at any time, for any reason. In particular, and without
limitation. Maybank may terminate and/or suspend your
access should you violate any of these terms and conditions,
or violate the rights of Maybank of any other user, or
any third party.
Variation of Terms
Maybank reserves the right to amend, vary, add to or
delete the terms and conditions herein contained at any
time and the lawyers shall be bound by the terms and conditions
as amended, varied, added to or deleted.
Governing Law
These terms and conditions shall be governed by the laws
of Malaysia whose courts thereof shall be of the courts
of competent jurisdiction.
